MORROSKO VILA-SAN-JUAN

Morrosko Vila-San-Juan is a Fimmaker. He has a Bacheor’s degree in Philosopy and Literature, his filmography includes short films, documentaries, video clips, transmedia format, and television programmes including “Version Española” for TVE and “Trailer” for BTV, which achieved recognition in the Ciutat de Barcelona Awards.

His work includes “Barcelona era una fiesta (Underground 1970-1980)", which opened in the In-Edit 2010 festival and can be viewed in Filmin.es; “Terra d´oportunitats” which received an award for its international projection in the Most Festival also being recognized with the award for best documentary at the Swiss festival Oenovidéo 2012. These were followed by “Valors”, a documentary he directed about social labor and environmental reinsertion for TVC, supported by Obra Social La Caixa and Diputació de Barcelona. 

One of his most recent projects is #ObjetivoSalud, a series of  documentaries funded by ISGlobal (Barcelona Institute for Global Health) for TVE and Planeta Futuo (El Pais),  about the fight against poverty and the leading causes of death in the world.

Additionally he has collaborated with artist Bea Sarrias, and has produced audiovisual pieces inspired by iconic architecture, such as "A day in La Ricarda" (selected for the Loop Barcelona Festival and screened in several countries); "La Cima de Coderch (an unfulfilled dream)", presented at Barcelona Design Week; "Miró, Sert, Gomis. The light in the artist's atelier", presented in Brussels, and "Welcome to La Ricarda", recently exhibited at the Senda Gallery in Barcelona and "Bxl-Bcn. Coderch-De Koninck. Beyond time", selected in Brussels Capital Film Festival and Int. Architecture Film Festival Barcelona (BARQ).

In journalism, he contributes to La Vanguardia, for the supplement Cultura/s, with reports on the audiovisual landscape. He also teaches classes for a Master of Digital Communication and a Master of the Audiovisual Postproduction at UAO as well as a Bachelor of Journalism at UIC.

He is currently working on a documentary feature film on the new Munch Museum in Oslo, built over 12 years by the Spanish architects at Estudio Herreros.
